I graduated from Roanoke Rapids High School in 1996.  Afterward, I served four years in the United States Marine Corps.  In 2000, I worked as a 911 Dispatcher while putting myself through Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET).  I graduated BLET at Halifax Community College with academic and physical fitness honors, and immediately began my law enforcement career.  I have over 14 1/2 years of law enforcement experience, working for Halifax County Sheriff's Office and Roanoke Rapids Police Department.  I worked as a private contractor for two years in Afghanistan, training and mentoring the Afghan National Police.  I have changed careers and began teaching Public Safety at RRHS this year.

Outside of teaching, I help coach the Hornets Midget Football Team and I am an Assistant Scout Master with a local Boy Scout troop.  I look forward to serving the students and the community this coming school year, and beyond.
