Bio

After completing my first year of high school at the Academia Inmaculada Concepción in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico I graduated from RRHS. I am a graduate of East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science  and a graduate of the University of Georgia with a Master of Education. I serve as co-advisor to the RRHS Senior Class. I am the founder of the RRHS chapter of the National Spanish Honor Society and serve as its advisor. I am a member of the Foreign Language Association of North Carolina and the American Association of  Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese. This is my 27th year of teaching at RRHS. My goal is for my students to move past seeing Spanish as "just a class" and learning to love it for all the great things it brings:  a view into another culture, connections with others who speak the language, and future career opportunities.
